Netbooks: Dirt Cheap 99$ Netbook From JoinTech

0

Jointech offers the cheapest netbook on the market: The JL7100. Dirt cheap means $99. Yes, that is really cheap. What you get is an ARM 9-based toy with Windows CE 5 and a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 800 x 480. A little drawback: The LCD makes only 64k colors. With 225 mm x 165 mm x 36 mm, a weight of 680 g and its neat design it looks like an Eee PC knockoff … kinda ;) .

A kinda bit more ‘ugly’ netbook from China pulls in too: The Impulse NPX-9000 for about $130.

Yes, $130! The Impulse NPX-9000 runs a 400 MHz MIPS processor, 128 MByte RAM and a 1 GByte flash memory. The screen is a 7-inch LCD, the resolution should be at 800 x 480 pixels. You’ll find the Impulse NPX-9000 on Alibaba.com. If you order 100+ units, then you will and get the price of $130.

Games Convention Leipzig: Acer mit High-End Gaming-PC live und gefährlich

0

Special Slime Will Clean Your Dirty Keyboard

0

Cyber Clean is a Swiss made (first of it’s kind?) cleaning slime that can get at hidden dirt no matter where it hides. Roll the goop over your keyboard or any other device and it will slink in and pick up any bit of filth and debris. It cleans and kills germs while binding with dirt due to its special viscosity and elasticity. It can be used repeatedly until it gets filled with junk and will change color to let you know it’s through. When your done, just throw it away – it’s also biodegradable.

HP reveals plans for a second low-cost mini-note

0

In addition to its premium ‘business class’ Mini-note, HP is working on a new ‘economy’ model for budget-minded buyers. One day after Toshiba revealed the company is working on its first mini-note, HP has announced plans for its second mini-note. But unlike HP’s 2133 the new model will be closer to the conventional netbook in functionality and nearer to competitors from Asus and Acer in price.

The reason for this split? The 2133 sits at the top end of the nascent market, which is north of where many retail opportunities lie. HP differentiated the 2133 from the pack by pre-installing Vista Business and using commercial notebook features such as an anodised aluminium chassis, a spill-resistant keyboard and a shock-proof hard drive fitted with a 3D accelerometer.
