Lenovo bringt neue Notebooks der Serien ThinkPad T, L und W

Lenovo hat heute das Thinkpad L420, Thinkpad L520, Thinkpad T420s, Thinkpad T420, Thinkpad T520 und die mobile Workstation Thinkpad W520 angekündigt. An Bord: Sandy-Bridge Core-i-CPUs und neue Grafikhardware für mehr Power bei längerer Ausdauer auf Batteriestrom. Das 14“-Thinkpad L420 und 15,6“ L520 ist mit Core-i5- und i7-Prozessoren, bis zu 8 GByte RAM und ATI Radeon HD 565v oder Radeon HD 5650 erhältlich. Als Anzeige gibt es für das Thinkpad L520 auch ein LCD mit 1.600 x 900 Pixeln.

Lenovos Thinkpad T420s soll um 30 Prozent schneller booten, dafür soll das Thinkpad T420 mit 9-Zellen-Akku auf Reisen satte 30 Stunden durchhalten. Dank Optimus sparen die Thinkpad Strom, als Grafik ist entweder eine Nvidia Geforce GT 420M oder eine GPU der 500M-Serie an Bord. Als mobile Workstation kann das Thinkpad W520 auch mit 4-Kern-CPUs und einer Nvidia Fermi Quadro 1000M oder 2000M bestellt werden. Ab März soll es die neuen Lenovo Notebooks in den USA geben. Für Deutschland ist bisher nichts bekannt.

Toshiba: Tecra A11, M11 und S11 für Geschäftskunden

Mit der neuen 14″-Notebook-Serie Tecra M11 bietet Toshiba künftig Geschäftskunden ab 1000 Euro handliche Begleiter im 35,6-Zentimeter-Format für die Arbeit unterwegs. Die Notebooks der Tecra-Reihe M11 verfügen über ein robustes Oberflächendesign, das laut Toshiba alle Strapazen des Alltags ohne Kratzer meistern soll.

Für Business-Kunden kombiniert die Tecra-M11-Serie dabei Sicherheitsfunktionen mit komfortablen Bedienungselementen (Toshiba EasyGuard). Die stationäre Arbeit ermöglicht die Dockinglösung mit optionalem Express-Port-Replikator von Toshiba inklusive einer einfachen Integration des Notebooks in die bestehende Bürokommunikation.

Bei den Kernkomponenten kommt aktuelle Intel-Mobiltechnologie mit Core-i3/i5-CPUs und integrierten Grafikchips zum Einsatz. Lediglich beim ebenfalls vorgestellten 15,6″-Modell Tecra M11-10 ist eine Nvidia Quadro NVS 2100M mit Cuda-Technologie und 512 MByte dediziertem VRAM an Bord.

Alienware: Area-51 m15x First 15.4-inch With Quadro FX 3600M

Alienware turns its Area-51 m15x gaming notebook with the Quadro FX 3600M into a powerful 3D modeling workstation. The Quadro FX 3600M is one of Nvidia’s top-end 3D chipsets and the Area-51 m15x is the very first 15.4-inch laptop with that graphics chip aboard. Rendering 3D effects, CAD, DirectX 10 or OpenGL 2.1 is said to be highly boosted with that gfx chip.

If you want that killer FX 3600M in your Area-51 m15x, well then you have to add extra $600 to the base with $1.499. The recommended system by Alienware has a price tag of $3.445 and includes a 2.6GHz Core 2 Duo, a high-resolution 1920×1200 LCD, 4 GByte RAM and a 250 GByte HDD. Notebooks equipped with that upgrade are said to start shipping in August 5th.
